I bought these from a suggestion from a friend. Don't regret the purchase. Solid.
I purchased the D 25 M Stylus for my single mono album by a jazz guitarist. Thing is I didn't know at the time that the album was mono! So I played it anyway using the stock stereo stylus. It just didn't sound right. I installed the D 25 M and it was simply magic! A different experience opened up in front of me! I'm going to open-up my listening experience to include mono recordings. One more thing-I just purchased the OM 20; can't wait to hear it!
It is a big improvement over the 2m Blue. Don’t get me wrong love the blue, but the bronze wow. Cymbals now dound like the should.
I would love to thank the person who rebuilt my cartridge. They did a marvelous job. Not only is the electrical and mechanical alignment very good, I measured better than-35DB crosstalk on both channels. The sound is so slightly different but not in a bad way.
I am a long time fan and entusiast admirer of Ortofon cartriges. Got today a Concorde 5e, set it up to 1.8 gram tracking force to 2 grams and I am not disapointed!! Amazing cartridge. Full trasparent sound, strong bass, crystal clear highs... excellent stereo separation. Its a pleasure !!
These cartridges were better than I thought 😎 and the nuance of the colors matched the Pioneer DJ DJM-450 and the PLX-1000s to the letter 😩 I was NOT expecting that
Jumping up from the Red to the Blue made a lot of difference on original pressings. Not so much repressing. Good piece of equipment.
I have always been a fan of Ortofon. Good quality. Timely delivery.
I originally made an Ortofon 2m Red purchase about 7 years ago. The sound was pretty good but I learned that replacing the stylus with a 2m blue would provide a major step up. What I hear now I can only describe as “perfection”.
I needed to replace my Super OM 10 on my Dual 1242 and found that the 5E was my new best option. Since I always used Ortofon I wanted to continue using them. It arrived quick and worked perfectly! It is super easy to install and it is much appreciated that screws are included for the mounting! I have no doubt that Ortofon will continue to be my go to!
Sounds decent and tracks well using a rebuilt marantz 8bamp and marantz 7c preamp with 16 ohm altec valencias- YEAH!
very nice layout on the brush with a protective slide on barrier to keep the fibers straight and a decent price
Great timing and great sounds from this little beast! Honestly though I cannot help but wonder about how great the bronze or even black 2m stylus’ must soumd if this is how great the blue is!
you get what you pay for & the 2M is worth every penny 👌
Erstaunlich guter, ausgewogener Klang.
Viel schöner Bass, klare Höhen, Genau richtige Menge an Mitteltonbereichen.
Louis was the difference maker. His support was first class and expert. I have an outstanding product now thanks to him.
I had the Ortofon Red and replaced it with the Blue, there is a noticable difference in the clarity. Red sounded great, Blue sounds awesome.
The last Ortofon cartridge I owned was a MC20, maybe 40-45 years ago. But the other day I stumbled upon reviews of this little gem, and every reviewer loved it to pieces. I knew right away that I had to own it.
I took great care installing it in my Audiomods Series Six tonearm the next day, and it didn't disappoint me. It works flawlessly with my Ortofon ST-80SE as well.
Now, some 12 hours of playing time later, it displays the most perfect balance in the entire frequency range I have ever experienced, and it is fast too, revealing the soul of one lovely piece of music after another, never fatiguing, and digging details that keeps surprising me out of the grooves of albums I believed I knew extremely well. It's a gem, a bargain, and a keeper.
